Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

Welcome to the January Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge for 2011!

This month's blog hop challenge involves challenging oneself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink OR even one that might be collecting a little dust!  Going through my collection of PTI stamp sets, I found a little used treasure.

I needed to make a gift for a fellow workmate who had just finished her internship with us.
This pretty gift package (recycled clear box from PTI stamps) contains notecards for her to use.

(click on photos to enlarge them)
I love my Button Bit sets and use them on a regular basis. In place of buttons, I punched out or paper pieced the focal images using 2008 Bitty Dot Basics pattern papers. But I needed to complete these Clean & Simple cards with something other then ribbon. I wanted them to be mailable.
Enter the set below!
This set was released in April of 2007 and sat in my stamp drawer unused until recently! I really do like this set! Just keep forgetting about it. I like how the simple linear designs help to finish and ground the images used from Baby Button Bits and Everyday Button Bits sets.

Check out the Faux Ribbon set and the Tip Sheet for many more ideas on how to utilize it.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my work.
I really do appreciate all the lovely comments too! Have a great week!

Supplies:
Stamp sets are all Papertrey Ink: Faux Ribbon, Baby Button Bits, Everyday Button Bits and Cupcake Collection for one sentiment
Paper: Papertrey White, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunshine, Spring Rain, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, 2008 Bitty Dot Basics PP
Ink: Papertrey True Black, New Leaf
Accessories:  Varies punches from stash, Spellbinders Nestabilities Circles, PTI Limitless Layers 1 3/4" circle collection, tiny buttons from Hero Arts, recycled clear box, PTI Grosgrain Red Ribbon

These are wonderful, Carol and thanks for showcasing the ribbon stamps. I have wondered about how much use I would get out of them but its a great idea for keeping cards flat.

Your cards are SO cute. Thanks for reminding me that I don't always have to use buttons with my Button Bit sets. I always seem to reach for buttons and that makes mailing too expensive.
